New site, radio drama downloads, + sequels!!

Sort of a big update here :]

First of all, thanks to the generosity of *telophase (praise her! praise her!) our Magatama trilogy fansite was able to move to an ad-free host:

DSWC.magatsu.net

Via Wordpress, I was able to give the site a CSS make-over which hopefully willh make it display better on all browsers and much easier to read and navigate.

A Magatama trilogy fan from Japan helped me with my misromanizations of character names in the sequels. In addition to correcting that, he also gave us all 10 episodes of NHK's 1989 radio adaption of Dragon Sword and Wind Child (all in Japanese of course, but with music and full-cast voice-acting, it's still fun to listen to).

A bunch of new icons have been added under the Fan section as well.

Finally, I've ordered the entire trilogy from China and will have the books by September, so I'll be blogging my reading progress on DSWC.magatsu(dot)net :woohoo:

Hi... One of my top-favorite books of all time! I was wondering, though, if there was any talk of translating the second book into English? Ever since i read it, I've hope that they would continue translating the rest... This a very neat gallery and the pictures are absolutely fantastic!

Cathy is translating it, but since she's doing so on her own time, she'll need to put that on lower priority (she's working on the Moribito series for Scholastic/Arthur A. Levine right now).

However, if DSWC sells well enough to convince Viz to bring us the sequels, then we will see the rest of the trilogy! Let's keep our fingers crossed; Viz, after all, has nothing to lose, what with the vast majority of their revenue coming in from Naruto, Death Note, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc... But then again, you can see how their usual audience doesn't go for novels of the Magatama trilogy caliber.

It should be fairly easy to locate (are you in the States?)...

You can order it off Amazon or Barnes and Noble's online if your local bookstore doesn't carry it.

More info on the books here: [link]

It was difficult to find because it went out of print, but thanks to fan efforts, Viz Media (the giant manga publisher) decided to reprint it in 2007.

I run the English fansite for all things Tales of Magatama, so feel free to ask me anything. :]
